Learn Mandolin Through the Pattern Method - Dominant 7th Scale

Learning mandolin through the pattern method allows the mandolin player an easy method to learn the Major and Minor scales, Arpeggios, Pentatonic scales, two and three finger chords, and chop chords.

The following lesson is a free lesson showing the Dominant Seventh scale in the mixolydian mode.

This scale is like the major scale with a slight change. The seventh note of the major scale is lowered one note, or one fret, thus becoming a flatted seventh.
