Learn Mandolin Through the Pattern Method

F7 scale

This is an on-going free series to preview what you can expect in the Learn Mandolin Through the Pattern Method books.

Use the same fingering as the previous lessons.

Start with the F note on the G string and play the scale through the D
string then the A string. Notice the 7th note of the scale is moved down
one fret from E natural to E flat.


Theory

The F Dominant 7th scale has 0
sharp and 2 flats.



Notice that the F7 scale resembles
the Bb Major scale.

The dominant scale will resemble
the 4th note of the current dominant
scale your playing.
